This course is designed for delegates who have responsibility within a QMS or will be involved in the auditing of such systems. It will also benefit people who manage quality or purchasing within their organisations and wish to gain maximum benefit from the QMS audit process.
Before starting this course, delegates are expected to have a knowledge of the following quality management principles and concepts:
- The PDCA cycle
- The relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction
- The process approach used in quality management
Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001, which may be gained by completing the IRCA certified ISO 9001 Foundation course
Prior Knowledge Required (IRCA 2245)
Before starting this course delegates are expected to have knowledge of the following quality management principles & concepts:

- The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) Cycle
- The relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction
- Commonly used quality management terms and definitions and the 7 principles as given in ISO 9001 systems
- The process approach used in quality management
- The ‘Model of a Process Based Quality Management System’; the structure and content of ISO 9001
- Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001, which may be gained by completing an IRCA certified QMS Foundation Training Course, or equivalent.
