Overview
This course is designed to equip existing auditors of other management system standards with the knowledge and skills required to perform audits of environmental management systems (EMS) against ISO 14001.

- The requirements of ISO 14001
- Summary of basic environmental legislation
- Planning and conducting an EMS audit.
The CQI IRCA Auditor Conversion course is designed to equip existing lead auditors of other standards with the skills and techniques of auditing, and how to communicate the findings of an environmental management system audit effectively.
To become an CQI IRCA registered Lead Auditor, delegates must have attended and passed an CQI IRCA certified auditor/lead auditor course relating to another management standard, e.g., QMS, OH&S, ISMS, evidence of this needs to be available to CQI IRCA on application.
The course is also available to any delegate who requires skills and knowledge to understand and audit against EMS requirements.
In line with CQI IRCA requirements, you should already have a basic understanding of ISO 9001:2015. If not, we recommend attending our ISO 9001:2015 Foundation course.
